Home. I'll admit it, I really miss home.
This past weekend I was able to take a trip out of Aalborg. I was able to see the country-side and quite a few farms. Fields, cows, horses, barns, the works.
It got me thinking of the farm. I guess not being able to go to the farm every weekend is starting to really set in.
It reminded me of home. I know that I won't be able to see the flat land of ND or the trees and lakes of MN for five months, I still miss it.
Despite being a little homesick, the rest of the week was good!
I had only one day of classes this week. Sounds good on the outside, but having to present for one of the classes makes it not so good!
Being one of the only non-Danish students in the class I had to give a presentation by myself. I'm not convinced it was good, but it's done! My homework for the semester is essentially done! haha!
Thursday night was really good! About 11 of us got together for a Girl's Night! A nice mixture of ICS students from both last semester and this semester! A good way to get to know some new people! It was really fun! We had appetizers and drinks and some good conversation!
On our way back, Tara and I ended up missing the last bus so we had the joy of walking 3 kilometers back to the AIK. Thankfully, the weather was nice! Made the walk more enjoyable! Or it could have been that I was playing some Mumford & Sons on my iPod... Haha!
Sunday was a good day! Tara, Venus (from Australia), and I headed to Odense for a day trip! My first train trip was really good! No motion sickness!
We spend the cold, dreary day walking around the land of Hans Christian Anderson.

Very cute with fun colors! It was a really good day. It was nice to actually get out of Aalborg and see somewhere new! I hope to do a few more weekend or day trips to experience more of this wonderful country!
On Monday, my fourth and final class for the semester started! The Psychology of Creativity. From what I gather, it's going to be an interesting class with a lot of class discussion and participation! Another way to actually interact with other students (mostly Danish) while in class!
This evening, I had the opportunity to go to The Kunsten Museum to see "Michael Kvium Exhibition "Real Monsters"! Mihail (my neighbor from Bulgaria), Ali (from Australia), Erica, and I headed to the exhibit. On the bus we found Carly and Kensey, both from Canada, also heading over. So we grouped up and found our way to the museum. The museum was packed and we ended up going on the second tour. It was nice to be able to just look around at the permanent collection. I'm not really an art person, so analyzing them was not for me, but some of them were really gorgeous!
The "Real Monsters" exhibit was unique. I understood the concept but the execution was really interesting. You'll have to check out the website to see more! Michael Kvium is one of the most famous modern artist in Denmark.
Mihail, Ali, Venus, Tara, Erica, and I walked part of the way back from the museum. Although it was a little chilly I can't help but laugh at myself. The past two days I have had my window open to allow the glorious 40 degree (5 Celsius for my international friends) weather to come into my room! It is still weird for me to say this is 'winter' weather. I guess this is one thing I will never get used to!
I guess that concludes this chapter of my adventures.
Till next time...
